Life is a Paradox. How?

Which came first? The chicken or the egg? When did time start? A poster reads: “Do not read this!”

All these are what many people call Paradoxes. What are these paradoxes? Do they even mean something? If so, then what? Well, for one thing they were born because of questioning. And each and every person capable of thinking by himself will discover that questions are the root of ALL development.

So ask away folks!!! Question each and everything!!! Questions are the root of all knowledge!!!

Translation - Oruvan oruvan Mudhalali

This is the translation of the very famous Tamil song Oruvan Oruvan Mudhalali from the movie Muthu. The Tamil super star, Rajinikanth plays the lead role. Here it goes:

One person is the boss; and all others in the world are mere workers. One who wonders about fate is a fool; the one who conquers it is intelligent. Why do you need weapons to win in this world? Why do you need a sickle to pluck a flower? To gain riches or treasures, why do you turn to a battlefield? Stop your desire and everything will be yours.

Man desires to have land but land also desires to have man. It is land that wins out finally; and the heart fails to realize this. If you have some money in your hand, you are its owner; if you are buried till the neck in money, IT is your owner. Understand the meaning of life; drink the essence of your life [implies that if you can understand the meaning of life you can as well lead it in satisfaction].

[First stanza is again repeated]

Both the sky and the earth are yours for the taking; why do you fight with hatred and contempt? Telling one to live is natural; but the problems in life are made. [The following lines are sung inplying merging and communicating with nature] When the birds look at me, they ask about my well being. When the flower bud blossoms, it says quietly, “Muthu, Muthu” [As the song occurs as if the hero sings it; Muthu, meaning Pearl, is the hero’s name in the movie]. Sweetness will never leave me hereafter and my thoughts are immortal.
